"Mantis Mundi" is inspired by the phenomenal painting by the visionary and artistic genius Robert Steven Connett, and revolves around musicality in insects. The tiny, adorable, fascinating, and often alien-like creatures use sound to great advantage in trying to earn a living in a resource-limited, and frequently hostile, environment – making sounds like instrumentalists through specialized body parts and using many methods and techniques. It’s a noisy world out there if only you have the sense to hear it.
